New Mates at winem8

PRESS RELEASE - 30th August 2024

Winem8 is excited to welcome new partners as it evolves to meet the growing direct to consumer needs of the Australian wine industry.

South Australia’s Frame Creative has joined winem8 as its new technical partner to build on the foundation established by kwpx and drive the development of the winem8 platform.

Frame Creative was established over ten years ago and has grown into a thriving business in Adelaide and Los Angeles based on design excellence, technological expertise and a service mentality. Frame Creative works across a broad cross section of industries around Australia and in the US, with significant interest in the wine and digital sectors.

Frame Creative principal, Alex Bishop said ‘the legitimacy and importance of direct-to-consumer sales in any wine business strategy is only increasing. We are excited to join winem8 and help wineries grow this part of their business.’

Winem8 was established as a partnership between kwpx, one of Adelaide’s leading advertising agencies and South Australian business advisory firm Evans + Ayers, two companies that together represent over 150 years of creative and commercial thinking. Since its establishment the winem8 platform has gathered a community of prestige wineries from across Australia and enabled them to successfully build their direct-to-consumer business.

David O’Loughlin, KWPX CEO, said ‘we are proud of what we created and happy to see the platform pass on to the next generation.

Evans + Ayers director, Mark Balnaves added ‘we have clients across the Australian wine industry and know how challenging it is out there. We recognise the important contribution the direct-to-consumer route makes towards sustainable businesses.’

The new partnership with Frame Creative will provide Winem8 with the technical expertise and resources to complete development of winem8’s next major version. The new major release will focus on offering new flexible subscription models, leveraging new Shopify capabilities, improving end-user experience, and achieving greater compliance with Shopify’s new platform standards.

Winem8 drives revenue for wineries with online wine club subscriptions combining the best of Shopify and the needs of the wine industry to create an integrated approach to wine club management. Winem8’s new partnership aims to continue the evolution of the platform and maximise its impact for Australian wineries.

The winem8 partnership commences on Monday the 9th of September 2024.
